Seizure is delighted to announce the winner of the inaugural Viva La Novella competition. If you sometimes think that novels are just obese novellas, then you’re on our wavelength. Tackling the theme of ‘origin’, the entries were outstanding, and whittling them down to just six produced some prolonged, involved and fiery discussions. The shortlist was as follows: Dead End by A.S. Patric; Autumn Hymnal by Jane Jervis-Read; The Origin of Grief by Giorgio Montanari; 36 Views of Fuji by Jo Gardiner; The Last Big Show by Veronica Gleeson; The Crocodile Lover by Susan Errington; Sympathy by Chris Palazzolo.
The winner has now been decided and will be announced 1 May 2013. The announcement will be accompanied by digital publication, followed on 1 June 2013 by a limited-edition signed and numbered paperback.
