For the Australian History Prize is 'The Battle Within' by Christina Twomey (NewSouth) and 'Slow Catastrophes' by Rebecca Jones (Monash University Publishing). For the NSW Regional and Community History Prize is 'Hidden in Plain View' by Paul Irish (NewSouth) and 'River Dreams' by Ian Tyrrell (NewSouth). And for the Young People’s History Prize is 'Marvellous Miss May' by Stephanie Owen Reeder (NLA Publishing).
'Woolloomooloo' Cover Designer Receives Award
Esteemed designer Sandy Cull has received an Award of Merit at the 2018 Association of University Presses Book, Jacket, and Journal Show for the cover design of NewSouth’s 'Woolloomooloo: A Biography'. The awards were presented at the annual meeting of the Association of University Presses in San Francisco. Woolloomooloo was selected from 375 jacket and covers by the panel of judges as one of the very best examples of university press design.
