Educational Publishing Awards 2015

Congratulations to Hugh Dolan, who last week won the Secondary Student Resource – Junior category at the Educational Publishing Awards Australia 2015. Hugh was awarded the prize for his factual comics 'Gallipoli: The Landing' and 'Reg Saunders: An Indigenous War Hero'. We look forward to his forthcoming title 'Ned Kelly'. Hugh said, "I am now hoping to offer kids a new path to reading and historical discovery through the factual comic."

NSW Premier's History Awards

NewSouth would like to congratulate our winning and shortlisted authors at this year's NSW Premier's History Awards. Alan Atkinson won the Australian History Prize with 'The Europeans in Australia, Volume 3: Nation' and Carolyn Holbrook was the joint winner of the Australian First World War History Prize with her book 'Anzac: The Unauthorised Biography'. 'Leisure Space: The Transformation of Sydney 1945-1970', edited by Judith O’Callaghan and Paul Hogben was shortlisted for the New South Wales Community and Regional History Prize. Congratulations to our authors and all those shortlisted for the 2015 Awards!
